Kalamazoo Area Donation Sites

So, you just cleaned out your basement, closet, books, or are downsizing furniture.... now what?? We curated a list of local organizations where you can donate your gently used items.

​

We started volunteering in the Kalamazoo community as kids. Giving back and serving the community is part of who we are. We will continue to add to this growing list; Please let us know if you know of a donation site to add. We hope that this list can be utilized as a resource.

American Cancer Society Discovery Shop

Resale shop that raises funds to help improve the lives of cancer patients. Accepts gently used or new clothing, accessories, household items, home decor, antiques, and collectibles.

Lakeview Community Foundation

Proceeds support the Lakeview Foundation providing scholarships to local students pursuing a healthcare career.

Donation Hours: Tuesday-Sat. 10:00-4:30 p.m. or full for that day.

Jody's Closet

Calvary Community Church

Provides free clothing to those in need. Accepts gently used clothing of all sizes.

Dream Center

Provides necessities to those in need. Accepts gently used clothing, small household items, personal care items, food Items - Particularly peanut butter, cans of tuna, cans of fruit, and cereal.

The Cinderella Project

The Cinderella Project provides free prom dresses and accessories to girls that otherwise wouldn't be able to afford to attend prom.

 

Dress and accessory donations can be dropped off year-round at Memories Bridal & Evening Wear in Downtown Kalamazoo.

St. Vincent De Paul Society

Donations of new and gently used clothing and household items are accepted during store hours.

Habitat for Humanity Restore

The profits from the Habitat ReStore help Habitat for Humanity build and repair homes in the community. The Habitat ReStore accepts new and used home improvement materials, furniture, appliances, and home décor items.

The Kalamazoo SDA Church operates a Community Service Center to help meet the needs of our local community by providing free clothing, household items and food.

Provides personal care items, diapers, and clothing assistance to Portage Public School District and City of Portage residents. Their goal is to improve their present situation, increase a person's ability to meet their own and their family's basic needs.

Offers free clothing to the community. Items vary depending on what has been donated. The Free Store of Kalamazoo will redistribute clothing and household goods donated by the community to the community for FREE.
